How it works
Sports Circle sells quality second-hand gear on your behalf. Consignors drop gear off, we photograph the items, price them using our pricing tool, and display them in-store and online at sportscircle.co.nz.
When an item sells, you get a notification by email. Store credit is available immediately. Payouts run on Mondays one week after the sale to the bank account provided (NZ or International).
We take most sports gear provided it is in good working condition. We don’t accept:
- Damaged items that require repair
- Safety gear (e.g. helmets and ropes)
- Worn out clothing
We prefer in-season gear. However, if you are leaving Wanaka we may accept out-of-season gear to sell the following season.
Consignor payout rates depend on the price of the item for sale and whether consignors opt for cash or store credit as shown in the table below:
Please mark Sports Circle emails as “important” to avoid missed emails.
- You'll receive the start price by email when your item is listed — feel free to get in touch if you'd like to discuss it.
- Items will be offered for sale at the start price for at least 6 weeks.
- After 6 weeks, Sports Circle may reduce the listed price by up to 20% every two weeks until the item sells or the minimum price is reached, if you have set one.
- If the item does not sell, you can choose to donate or be notified for collection.
- If notified for collection, you have 14 days to collect or make alternative arrangements — after which the item will be donated.
